You can go on a butterfly adventure of a lifetime at the Butterfly Palace, visit the World's Largest Toy Museum, tour the World's largest Titanic Museum attraction, ride the Branson Ferris Wheel, and so much more! The Branson area was transformed into a tourist destination many years ago by the damming of the White River, forming Lake Taneycomo. In 1958, further damming formed Table Rock Lake, making Lake Taneycomo a cold-water lake supporting brown and rainbow trout. Pulled from a depth of 140 feet, the water fed into Lake Taneycomo remains a chilling 48 degrees year-round. The Mabe family started the music shows for which Branson has become famous. Soon after country music star Roy Clark opened a theater in 1983, many others followed. Today, the area continues to re-invent itself but the "Shepherd of the Hills", "The Baldknobbers", and "Presleys' Country Jubilee" will forever remain the historical cornerstones of the Branson area. The Ozarks has something to offer the entire family. See the photos below to view some of the wonderful experiences that the Branson area has to offer.
